Of the many facets of commercial building and construction, firestopping is not an area you can afford mistakes to be made…it can cost lives. Utilizing substandard or improper firestopping materials, installation procedures, or hiring uncertified firestopping contractors can have a devastating result if fire ever breaks out.
It’s well known that fire usually doesn’t kill people; smoke does. If firestopping is not done correctly, smoke can easily infiltrate other areas of a building, costing lives. This also opens up potential issues of liability and risk, which no company wants to deal with.
